Maple Pecan Salmon

Maple Pecan Salmon is a sweet and savoury salmon dish. The salmon is topped with a sweet and crunchy pecan crust that gets a little bit of heat from cayenne pepper. A thin layer of Dijon mustard cuts the fishiness of the Maple Pecan Salmon and really brings together the flavours. This sweet and savoury dish can be complimented with a salad or steamed veggies.

Omega 3 Fatty Acids

The Standard American Diet is very rich in omega-6 and low in omega-3. While both essential fatty acids (EFAs) are important, having too much omega-6 can cause inflammation. Salmon is an excellent source of omega-3 that can help balance out your EFA ratio. Omega-3 improves overall cell function, regulates inflammation and supports brain function. Omega-3’s anti-inflammatory properties also make salmon excellent for relieving joint pain.
